Great, detailed little set. It reminds me of one of those small commercial-grade excavators.

So far as I can tell, it will be the only robotic set in the 2009 beginning line, but it embodies the line’s theme as a whole enough to convince me than I need to get more of these.
(I figured publishing this on my 27th birthday could be my little present to y'all, since I used to get Lego sets when I was younger from my family... ^_^)

| Space Police, Power Miners, Agents 2.0, Castle, City, Technics and more where also on display in the Lego showroom this year.

| While most manufacturers gave up on the Indiana Jones franchise this year, Lego continues with their line and brings us some neat surprises.

|
| Lego celebrates 10 years of doing the Star Wars line and there where definitely some cool new items on display this year. From Clone Wars to Classic there's fun for both the kids and adults out there.

| Out of all the toy makers we saw at Toyfair 2009 I thought Lego had some of the coolest stuff, hands down. Yeah, that's right. Lego. First up is Bioncle and I think toy collectors and just fans of great design need to give this line a look.

Keep in mind that this really isn’t meant to be banged around like smaller sets are- this belongs on a shelf to be admired, and pulled down once in a while to dust it off, and fiddle with the features.

This set is a gamble on the part of Lego: that kids & collectors would buy a set based on the obscure, hard-to-see, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo it makes in the Special-Edition version of Episode IV.

While the V-19 made its on-screen debut in the made-for-TV cartoon mini-series “Clone Wars” just before “Revenge of the Sith” premiered in theaters in 2005, it makes its feature film debut in the all-CGI “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”.

Overwhelmed at the sheer technical genius and awe-inspiring power, Ryo wondered how he could even think that his old Mobile Defense Tank design was a good idea…

While the Battle Arachnoid and Dark Panther more closely resemble real animals (a spider and a- a… whatever), the details in its online profile at Exo-Force.com suggest that it is more related to a dragonfly.

|
The Dark Panther mounts two Iron Drones mid-body with their own laser rifles. When need-be, they can detach from the Battle Machine and take off independently through the jungle in their matching hover jet packs!

The formula which worked so well for the Assault Tiger didn’t work quite so well here, especially on the torso and small arms.
