MP-22 Masterpiece Ultra Magnus Updated

The highly anticipated Masterpiece Ultra Magnus has been revealed! He is a massive transforming car carrier that is even larger than MP-10 Optimus Prime and can carry four Masterpiece Autobot cars! Spike and Daniel in their future outfits are included and can sit inside the cab. Ultra Magnus can also hold the Matrix of Leadership just like in the movie! Magnus also includes an alternate yelling face. You can also remove the front part of his head to reveal a classic G1 Optimus Prime style face just like the white cab that came with the original toy. However, please note that Ultra Magnus's cab can only combine with the trailer to form the full robot mode and is not its own figure. Coming December 2014 for 19,440 yen.

You can still preorder Masterpiece Ultra Magns at Big Bad Toy Store.

Updated with full color pics.

20,000 Yen is only $200.

20,000 Yen is only $200. This is almost a definite Hasbro release a few years down the road too but probably still $200.

This angers me, I got the MP2

This angers me, I got the MP2 Masterpiece years ago expecting a cab set add on. Then I expected a third party would get on it. Never happened, now this release...I want the character, but I think I'm too angry to pay for it.

So you're upset you bought

So you're upset you bought one version of Magnus years ago and nobody has released another until recently? Don't you think that is a little bit of an overreaction Mr Angry?! p

Shame Grimlock wasn't designed in that scale .

I'm angry the version I

I'm angry the version I bought was never completed. A white colored Optimums Prime is not the same as Ultra Magnus. To my knowledge, there has never been an armor/trailer kit to complete this figure. Granted, knowing what I now know, I would not have assumed that they would eventually release the rest of his Armour/trailer. But I bought him around the time I was switching over form mainly Hasbro level toys and fully believed that a 1-200.00 figure labeled "Masterpiece" would be the definitive version. I now know better, I now know that companies constantly disappoint and double dip, but that doesn't make it right. Being angry at poor customer service and company greed is not overrating. Anger is a gift :p

From what I remember a 3rd

From what I remember a 3rd party did make a trailer kit for the MP-2, but it looked terrible so everyone cancelled their preorders which essentially cancelled the release.
Sorry you're bummed that the MP-2 never was complete, but for $189 I'm all for this guy. As a bonus he's even in better scale with most of my transformers figures too.

Just my issue...

When this collection started their was megaton and Optimus prime....prime was 90% die cast and megaton was all plastic with metal feet.....lucky for my wallet they went the direction that every release after prime had almost no diecast like megaton and I have sold off all my pieces l had and move on all plastic stuff for 200 bucks have lost me

Third party Ultra Magnus

There is a third party making an Ultra Magnus called Citizen Stack. Funky name. I forget which company.

Thats life...

....as soon as they released MP10 and said they were redoing the whole masterpiece line, I sold my MP1 Prime & Megatron. To people whining now, you should have done the same its not like you didn't know they weren't catering to the old Masterpiece owners. Sure it would be nice to have diecast in everything, but I rather they have accurate to animation characters that are engineered to transform into what they're suppose to.

I mean look at this beautiful Ultra Magnus.....seriously awesome....I'm just curious about the cab part in the transformation since it looks like Primes cab too. Maybe its like Powermaster Prime and the cab can turn into the white magnus that they been peddling this last decade or so, maybe they just want to keep it as a surprise - not that I care we have thee "Ultra Magnus" right here.

**correction** I shoulda read the writeup instead of just drool over the pics lol
