That is really sad news. I

That is really sad news. I hear many negatives about At0mXII but whatever his personality he helped make the show really good. I always felt that Josh had the information and industry perspective side of things covered, and At0m had the gift of being able to talk a lot ( I mean that as a positive ).

I can see how hard you were trying this episode Josh and I hope it goes well. I don't know if Atom reads the site any more but I also wish him well and hope to see him in other things.

Bummer to hear about this.

Bummer to hear about this. Whatever flaws Adam had, he did contribute a ton to the site and the show and will be missed. But this isn't the first subtraction from the site's staff, likely won't be the last and I'm sure the CDX train will keep jugging along strong as ever.

my thoughts

I stumbled across Collection DX about 2 years ago and enjoyed the show and genuine love for the hobby you guys displayed. As time went on the indiegogo campaign came, then shortly after that the Patreon started. When motives, actions, and the content changes, perception can change, for better or worse. The show started to feel more like a commercial for me rather than a love for the toys. I totally understand the appeal for making money especially when some youtubers and Patreons are making a good living doing video content. Maybe Josh had a similar feeling and made the decision to move on without Adam and Patreon for the time being...or I could be totally wrong. I hope the show and Adam well...

Sad; just sad.

I've been watching for such a long time. This just feels like my friends got a divorce or something. Life does not stand still of course and change is necessary sometimes. Just wish it could have gone on a little longer.

I wish them both the very best.

I remain a faithful CDX viewer regardless.

So long and thanks for all the fish...

Sad to hear Mr. Atom has left the building but the show must go on! King of Boots! I implore you please continue your journey with collectiondx the show. It has become something invaluable as I have had the pleasure of watching it grow up over the past couple of years starting with the earliest beta episodes.

Keep up the good work guys a lot of fellow collectors and other newly toy converts are all counting on your efforts in bring us up to snuff with the toy world.

Random co-hosts like vfss, jman, chachi, and others would be fun.

Thats life...

...don't mean to sound glib or anything, we all go through changes in life. Change can be difficult, but change forces us to grow. People grow, people change... friends who were with us in high school, college or work sometimes are along for the ride for only a short while. Their longevity track record doesn't mean they were any less valued, it just means people change over time ....some for the better and some for the worse, to each their own.

I've been reading this site just before the first beta episodes started, and I think the reason many of us watched (and are still watching) was for the joy you both had for items you had or were coming out. Things change for many reasons (external and internal factors), but I think the last few months that joy and that spark was evidently missing and people could sense it.

But life goes on ... people move on and change happens. We don't just shrivel up and die, instead like a worm evolving into butterfly from its cocoon changes into something else.... taking what we were, and what we know and becoming something else...perhaps something better, or at least wiser.

Josh & CDX thank you for your work and dedication, please soldier on and keep helping us all feel excited about the things that made our childhood memorable and happy through your eyes on this site.
