3 comments postedI appreciated the story of your original Metroplex, Jeremy. I'll bet most of us have tales about this or that favorite Transformer, but yours had a particular sense of who you were and where your life was going. It was an almost uncomfortably intimate memory to hear, but... thanks.
I shared a link of this on the SF Bay area gunpla facebook group. It's cool to hear about the things that shape us both as collectors and people.
I really enjoyed this episode. It felt like I was really there at the show with you. I especially appreciate the very personal story of your Metroplex. I think that is what compels many of us adult toy collectors - the memory of what toys meant to us in simpler, perhaps happier (though not always) times. I know I have many pieces in my collection that bring back specific memories and these are my most cherished. Anyway, thank you for the excellent episode.
