Review by NekroDave

The second of the first wave of ESCO monster statues that I'll be looking at today is Frankenstein. While I'm not 100% sure what year it was released, I do know that Frankenstein was among the first three of the classic monsters to be made, along with Dracula and The Bride of Frankenstein. These three are the most common to find today, with the Bride seeming to be slightly harder than the other two (and one I don't yet have at the time of this writing).

FrankensteinFrankenstein

I really like the look of this Frankenstein statue, with it's static pose and lidded eyes. I find this a bit ironic since it is basically an early depiction of a super deformed style, being disproportionately large at the head and shrinking as you the lower you go, and historically I've not been a fan of that style.

Frankenstein

The statue stands about 16.5" tall and the tombstone behind the left leg is a nice touch and reads "Frankenstein 1931".

Frankenstein

The back of the base is marked ESCO.
