Blackjack is a Decepticon Micromaster who has been inducted as one of the Stunticons for the new Combiner Wars line. Unlike Powerglide, the previous Legends-class bot that becomes Superion’s gun, Blackjack turns into Menasor’s breastplate. While I’m not interested in Menasor as a whole, I really liked the look of Blackjack and I’m very pleased with how fun he turned out to be.
Unlike the previous Generations Legends toys, Blackjack does not include a Minicon, but he does come with a big axe and a collector’s card.
Blackjack doesn’t have too much kibble, mostly stands out on his back.
Blackjack’s is certainly not the most unique or expressive Transformer face out there, but it’s well-painted.
Blackjack’s got ninety degrees of articulation at both his elbows and knees.
He looks good even in the most neutral pose.
The axe is strangely shaped but after Powerglide I’m glad that Blackjack comes with at least some sort of weapon for his robot mode.
Blackjack transforms into a car and his axe attaches onto his trunk. It’s a simple transformation and a very fun little car.
Blackjack’s very fun just to mess with, this is by far the best configuration I’ve found thus far.
Plus if you have a sufficiently large Decepticon to wield him, you can have use Blackjack as a blackjack.
At the time this was written, Blackjack is a very new toy that’s just hit store shelves. Even without the rest of the Stunticons, if you manage to find him, he’s well worth grabbing.
