Everything...

Great Review, but you've said everything I was afraid of seeing with this kit. The 1/72 scale is what Bandai did for the VF-25s too, but the bare plastic and total reliance on decals was the turn off for me on those as well.

"A strange curiosity"...

"A strange curiosity"... That seems like a very apt description. Very well said, I think.

It seems even Bandai ran out of development budget for this. I wonder if the application of some additional media in its design - magnets, or springs - would have helped overcome some issues?

An excellent review, Andrew. Top-tier work!

I don't think they needed to

I don't think they needed to go as far as making the kit more multimedia. Just a better system for locking the hips in (like say they ended in a ball joint) and a few more locking tabs in the chest would have sufficed. A lot of this model seems more akin to a garage kit in how bare bones some of the mechanisms turned out.

Well, that's a bit

Well, that's a bit disappointing. On top of expecting more color and less decal work needed, I didn't expect it to fall apart so easily. It honestly reminds me of the Master Grade Victory, and what a fragile mess that kit was. It's a shame too, because this kit looked so promising.
