Good Luck!!!

I wish everyone luck in finding these anymore. I got all 4 U-5 releases when they first took pre-orders on them. The are fantastic-well made, and display perfectly with my vintage Jumbos.

Damn Nekrodave!, not collecting in 2000??? You sure have achieved some collector milestones in a short period of time! I would hate to see all of your c.c.statements!!!

Thanks for digging up these old reviews...

.. I had a lot of fun doing them. I just wish I hadn't basically run out of JMs to cover. I've still got a few left, but nothing very exciting, I'm afraid. :(

And I'm ok now, but yeah, back in the day, I was carrying a massive amount of debt over these things. I know at one point I was over $20,000 in the hole, maybe even $25,000!! Occasionally people would see my collection and assume I was rich so I think it's awesome that you saw it and assumed I was broke!! LOL

16 year missile dock update

I've had this guy displayed for years on a shelf that's climate controlled with no natural light in the room. I noticed a few months ago that a couple of missiles had fallen off the leg docks. The tabs of the leg docks were broken. They have snapped off under their own tension holding the rockets. That's a bummer considering these are newer material versions of the known fragile originals. I promptly bought a set of the more flexible docks from Shogun Plastics. Just thought Id let others that display theirs know what happened.

In reviewing this old review,

In reviewing this old review, I realized that when I wrote it, I did not realize that this toy's gold painted eyes and horns were actually based on the rare 1st version of the Popy original. I've decided to leave the review as I wrote it back then though, just for posterity. The toy can still be differentiated from the original by some subtle mold changes as well as the update logo on the back. Also in reviewing this old review, I regret selling both my regular and silver painted ones in it. D'oh!
