Gundam X
Review by JoshB
This bootleg is most likely a scaled-up version of the 1/100 scale model kit from Bandai. It's probably scaled up to 1/60 scale. He was purchased at Dollar Bills Discount Center in Derry, NH, for $9.99.
First of all, you cant help but notice how nice the card is. Unlike most bootlegs, this card actually has a lot of thought put into it.
The figure itself is bland, and made of your typical bootleg quality plastic. The gun is very well constructed. It folds up to become a shield. It also comes with a long, bazooka-like cannon. The articulation is not as good as a model, as some of the pieces have been fused together to make it easier to produce.
The only construction flaw is the wings..They don't stay up. I think I have them on backward in the photos, but they are removable. Įtempiamos lubos Vilniuje Gera kaina Montavimas ir priežiūra
You can see that all you need is a Gundam Paint Marker to do the panel lines and you have a great looking toy.

2 comments postedI just got this exact toy for Christmas. Ironically this is the SECOND one of these I have, and this one will stay on its card, and be lovingly cared for. The other one is on display in my model case. I hadn't considered doing panel lines on it, but it's a great idea, and I'll be breaking my pens out tomorrow.
HOWEVER, the thing that was even greater about getting THIS toy for Christmas was the GUNDAM AIRMASTER I got from the EXACT same company. Its on a nearly identical card, and is the same scale. The unit is made of the same plastic, and transforms nicely. Obviously, I removed this one from its card, but I've saved it for nostalgia reasons. I'm new to the board, so I'll try to figure out what I need to do to add the Airmaster here in the next few days if it doesn't already exist.
Over the years I have seen several KO Gundams in Easter baskets sold at places like K-Mart (now defunct unfortunately). Occasionally I may see one or two at the local Dollar Store.
