Great, another $10 obligation :P

I was on the fence about this one, but I think you just convinced me that I should really pick this thing up. Though I'm not sure where it's going to fit in amongst all my other robot toy-related plans...

LoL

I, too, was on the fence, but I took the dive and I didn't regret it. As to fitting on your shelf, he's just under 6" tall, so no worries there.

The only hang-ups are that you can't retract the stingers flush against the arms, and the panels along the back of his lower legs don't snap in place in robot mode; a spring holds them in place, but they can still shift once in a while.

Shelf space certainly is a concern as of late, but what I meant was, I have so many other purchases planned at the moment. Other Animated figures, various SoC's (I'm a newbie, and I want other pieces to stand next to my one and only Baikanfu), Macross stuff...lack of a generous income is a real problem for me, ha.

I've heard a lot about those stingers, but I think I'd be alright with them.

EDIT: Oops, sorry, I meant to click Reply, heh.

Mnn- we all get to that

Mnn- we all get to that point at some time... even me. I've recently come to realize my own shelf space is becoming rather limited. Since I usually get Super Sentai stuff, they take up a lot of room in my room, and the shelves don't all have minimum-12" spacing between them, which limits where I can place them.

And I'm broke right now too. My collecting has slowed to a trickle in the last 6 months. Why do you think I get those toys only from HobbyLink Japan...?

Not a cheat

From what I seen, the fake roof is not a cheat. Both the toy and the animation model have a false roof incorporated into the design. The animated transformation scheme is the same as the one used on the toy. The windshield is also drawn onto the back of the animation model's legs and the "fake" roof does not have the strobe light, which it should have if it were the real roof.

Re: Not a cheat

Well, maybe. They've never really done a detailed bullet-time trans. of BB like the others, so it's hard to tell with his quick changes. As to the windshields on the back of his legs, I suspect that those are actually the side windows. Remember, that black stripe is always on the left side of him- not the right as is the case here. The feet, also, do not flip upside-down in the animation model like they do here.

I think there's a fair bit of TV magic in BB's transformation compared to the others; look how big Prowl is in both modes compared to him!
