I am not a Mazinger fan in

I am not a Mazinger fan in the slightest. I know absolutely nothing about it, nor am I really interested in it; too old-school for me to consider worth pursuing.
.
But I must say those two figures look cool!

...

Wait-wait-wait- let me see if I've got this straight: these new Revoltech are even smaller than the 4" they usually are??? What the hell is up with that!?

Fewture Mazingers and tiny Revoltechs

Well, I am a die-hard Mazinger fan, and know everything about it (them)... ;p The Fewture Mazingers look good and all, but there is something just wrong with having any Mazinger sporting "teeth"... it is not the way these things should've been made! They could've least hidden those big choppers with mouth-pieces, like they did with the Getter Robots. Oh well, I'm still going to get them both...

I wonder how good is that micro-revoltech line going to do with figures sooooo small. The main complaint people have about the regular Revoltechs is that they are not big enough. Just imagine what they are going to say now!

Revoltech size

How tall are the normal Revoltechs? I was under the impression they were about 6 inches. I'm actually posting this because I've never seen one in person, and I was going to mail order one or two super robot ones, but if they're miniscule,I'd probably just go for some cheaper candy toys or gashapons or some such.

Re: Revoltech size

I have three Revoltechs-

Of the three, the Type-Zero stands (to the top of its head antenna) exactly 5". This is about the same for Unit-05 since it's head hangs a bit lower, but the spike-like Entry Plug cover on it's back raises it up. I'm sure this is the standard that all of the Revoltech sets fit to. Getter Robo 3, on the other hand, 'sits' no taller than 3". You could very carefully stand it on the treads and get 4" out if it.
.
Unit-05's wingspan is just over 11" when stretched out completely.
...
On the other hand, how you pose these things- while very articulate- is not a perfect imitation of how robots usually pose. On both the Type-Zero and Unit-05, they have rod joints at the hips, and then swivel joints at about mid-thigh below that. but the way they were sculpted, they cannot be posed perfectly standing straight up, or else it looks kinda weird with the thighs turned inwards! Same with the shoulder joints, though Unit-05 and Getter Robo 3 have Revoltech joints there instead.
