Wuotan
Wuotan is one in a series of four Tactical Armor sets put out by NifeliZ. Each kit retails for $24.99 and lets you build an original mech design! While the boxes are small, the end result is a cool looking Mmech that stands about 8 inches tall and is fully articulated!

Each box is the same aside from the highlight photo. The box seems small for what you are getting, but it”s because most of the 630 pieces are small. There were no missing parts and the bricks were of super high quality.
Inside you get one big bag of parts (with little baggies in it) and a fantastic instruction book. The book has some behind the scenes photos, and even a guide to posing the model at the end!
Construction took a few hours, and there are lots of little parts. One thing to note is that unlike other kits, the baggies are not ordered. You have to open all the baggies and fish for parts at each step. I use many tupperware bins to sort by color and that seems to help.
Here’s the end result! The completed model measures 8 inches tall, and the gun is 8 inches long!
The Wuotan is very well designed, and does a good job of hiding most of the studs. There are few exceptions, like on the side panels of the thighs, but overall it has a clean look. It feels like something out of Virtual-On mixed with Armored Core.
The head has some Nice Parts Usage with the Battle Droid body being used for the mouth area. It’s a simple, striking design.
I’ve never built a mech out of building blocks before. This was a great experience with some interesting build techinques. The end result is a fully articulated action figure with tons of articulation. The figure does get a bit back-heavy depending on where you position the boosters. The long gun can act as a sort of counterbalance to keep it stable.
The boosters are connected by 2 ball joints, and each has a moveable section on the outsides.
There are also movable thrusters around each ankle.
The gun attaches to the arm via studs, and has an articulated control handle.
Not only is the articulation impressive, but there are skirt parts that are movable as well.
It just looks great.
Side skirts move up to allow for more waist movement.
Did I mention articulted fingers? There are! And the thumb is a NPU with a gun part!
Overall this kit is highly recommended. I can’t wait to build the others in the series!
