Robocop
HiYa toys brings RoboCop 2 to it’s Exquisite Mini line. Released in this wave is Robocop in regular and damage versions.
This figure marks a departure from the regular HiYa packaging. Instead of the compact, resealable box, this features a retro-styled card encased in a protective box. You can take the carded toy out of the box, but once you remove the bubble from the card, it is not resealable.
RoboCop is a GREAT figure. HiYa has had their hits and misses, but this is a level up for them. It’s very poseable, DURABLE, comes with just the right amount of accessories, and looks killer.
Robocop is coated with a shimmery luminiscent finish, which is really quite stunning. My camera made it look a bit more intense than it actually is, but trust me, it’s nice.
Jointwork is great. Ball jointed neck, shoulders, torso, wrists and hips. Hinge elbows and knees. Swivel waist and rocker ankles.
The best part about this figure? WORKING PISTONS IN THE LEGS!
Robocop comes with an assortment of accessories. You get two variant right hands (gun holding, and brainstem holding), a gun, a brain, a stand, and two stand connectors.
I’ve been told the brain is ripped out of a failed Robocop replacement prototype. I can’t remember the movie but I know i’ve seen it.
Anyway, this is a solid figure, and for $20 you can’t beat the value. Pick it up.
