Revoltech EVA-01

Review by JoshB
The Revoltech Eva-01 is the fourth entry in Kaiyodo’s new Revoltech line. This toy has a very different feel from the other Revoltech I own, the Dougram, but still is recognizable as part of the Revoltech line.

EVA-01 has 14 points of articulation and includes a ton of accessories, such as an alternate head, 7 alternate hands, 2 guns, 2 bladed weapons and a power chord. The cord is actually made of a plastic coated wire, so it will stay in whatever position you put it.

The new Revoltech joints allow for a wide variety of poses. You can do a lot with this toy.

The Revoltech joints do not attract from the appearance at all. They fit in seamlessly with the look of the toy.

It’s a bit smaller than Bandai’s Soul of Chogokin, but much more poseable. Also, unlike the SOC, the head spike is not removable and therefore much less likely to get lost.

The paint and molding on this is fantastic. The color seems more anime accurate to me than the SOC as well.

For the price, this Revoltech EVA-01 is a great toy.
The Revoltech line is distributed in the USA by Organic Hobby.
A glow version of this toy was available as a San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive.
