Ranger Trailer
The Ranger Trailer is the third release in the Hyper Green Ranger set which combines Ranger Tanser and Ranger Gyro. It’s a larger box in a series that has suprisingly consistent box sizes, for those who care about such things.
This one is full of gimmicks, so lets dig in. The cab of the vehicle is a free-wheeling buggy (named Ranger Buggy), which can transform into a walker robot. It’s got room for one pilot in the cockpit, and it can launch a vehicle from it’s lower compartment.
Transformation is a simple clicking down of the legs, and an unfolding of the arms. The arms have spring loaded claws at the end of each.
To launch the vehicle, lift the body up a bit and bend the legs forward at the ankle (there are tabs to press down that only allow you to move the right amount). Use the yellow button to open the container and launch the vehicle (not included).
The trailer has it’s own set of gimmicks to explore. The cab can click into the body to become an independent vehicle.
The trailer has small tabs (the dark grey bits on the light grey ramps) for holding small Tomica vehicles in place. A small yellow button raises the trailer to then launch the vehicle or vehicles on the ramp. A clear Hyper Energy cannister can plug in on the side.
Pushing a button on the top springs open a cockpit to the side with room for one pilot.
Combined, the buggy and trailer can haul the combined Tansor and Gyro. It’s an amazing combination.
The reverse can also be true, with the Tanser Gyro towing the trailer, with the buggy riding on top. In this mode, pressing the button on top of the trailer cockpit activates the compartments opening on Tanser Gyro.
It’s even compatible with other vehicles, like the Super Sonic Runner from Hyper Blue Police:
If you got this with the first release, you got a special Drill Armor Gold Version that can seat most Tomica vehicles inside (not included). A spring loaded mechanism holds the vehicle in place. the sides and front are also removable and are compatible with other sets.
That concludes the Hyper Green Ranger series. Thanks for hanging in there!
