Motoroid Bleulet
Motoroid Bleulet comes from the toy line Polynian made by Daibadi Prodution. These guys started out as resin kit makers and then moved on to full production releases. This particular release is called Motoroid Bleulet, and is basicaly a robotic female traffic officer, which is kind of cool.
Motoroid Bleulet is available from HobbyLink Japan
The box is super high quality, with a flap held in place with a magnet. As usual, a sheet of plastic obscures a good view of the toy in the window.
Bleulet is a solid action figure. These figures are modular in nature, so you can easily slide limbs on and off the standard not-revoltech joint system. Fit has been an issue with Polyinayn figures in the past, but this figure is a bit better than ones I’ve had in the past. Daibadi even acknowledges that some parts may be tight or loose, and includes a sheet on how to rectify whatever particular fit issues you may have. In my case, the holes on the back of the head for the hair accessories were too tight, and the instructions suggested submerging the head in hot water for a few minutes. It did the trick and the parts fit in. However, once the plastic cooled, it became very difficult to move the pieces, and I ended up making one of the joints on the hair parts loose.
the “Twin Tails” of hair are moveable at the joint, then the small fin is one part, and then the long fins are another part. You could even remove them entirely if you want. A third hole is available if you just want to a single ponytail with the figure. By the time I got these two in, they were too difficult to get out so I just left them.
The ball and peg joint system allows for a great range of motion. No complaints here. You just have to make sure the joint is aligned the way you want before you attempt to move it.
There are four faceplates and two different hair parts included. They are relatively easy to swap out.
As you can see, Bleulet is full of life. She also includes an assortment of extra hands.
The typical Polynian stand is included.
For weapons, Bleulet has a pistol and a beam saber. The hilt of the saber can actualy connect to the gun to make it more impressive.
When not in use, the pistol can be stored on her back. I love integrated weapon storage!
The modular nature of the figure allows you to remove her skirt to admire her fine sculpting. To remove the skirt you have to separate the chest, as well as pull out the entire tail light assembly.
Overall it’s another great release. I’ve always loved the robot-girl aesthetic, and the Polynian figures hit the mark. I wish they just had a bit more variety to them.
