Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death SDCC 2022 Exclusive
This is an interesting set. Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death was an SDCC 2022 Exclusive that was basically a black and grey repaint of the regular set. Supposedly this was in homage of the original black and white printed comics.

This packaging reminds me of the domed Star Wars packaging, but without the hanging tab. While the Exquisite Mini boxes are nice and resealable, I really like the presentation here.
I actually like Judge Dredd quite a bit, so I was surprised that this was the first Dredd toy on CDX.
For accessories you get a baton, a Lawgiver pistol, two variant hands for Judge Death, one variant hand for Dredd, two stands, and stand connectors.
Dredd is a pretty cool figure, with nice articulation. No QC issues at all, but I did have to reposition the arms and pads out of the box. The elbow and knee pads obscure the joints, so you have to rotate them so that they bend in the proper way. Not an issue, just something to be aware of.
The detail is fantastic. From the helmet to the emblems, every detail is thoughtfully reproduced.
The Lawgiver gun fits into a holster on the leg. Technically this is the Lawgiver Mk. 1.
Dredd can hold the Lawgiver with the variant hand. Note that the shoulder pads do limit articulation a bit.
He can also use his baton, but I don’t see anywere to store it on the figure when not in use.
Judge Death can be posed by bending the lower half of the body into a stand. It’s made of a firm rubber with wires inside. It’s actually a bit difficult to bend as you get close to the waist.
Variant hands are just slightly different from the regular hands, so not worth replacing really.
Promo art shows Judge Death wrapped around Judge Dredd. I tried to replicate this pose with mixed results – largely because of the difficulty in bending the areas close to the body. I think I did an OK job though.
