Nekobot Santabot
Incubot Productions has been quietly chugging along since the great success of their initial releases of the Series 1 Nekobot USBs and Cyrstal Nekosaur Sofubi, preparing to unleash an onslaught of surprises in 2010. As 2010 comes to a close, things are continuing to heat up! Incubot Productions has teamed up with geek-goods website Think Geek once again to produce the perfect toy or robot fan stocking stuffer, Santabot!
Nekobot Santabot is the newest addition to the USB lineup, and the first Neko to feature a newly molded part. Also new with this release is a fantastic black bag for storage, which features some fun, crisply printed schematics of Santabot in the same retro-tongue-in-cheek style as the Neko and Voltron USB boxes.
Santabot features a great festive color scheme complete with black boots and a green elf-ey head! The hat fits into the top of the head and is glued in place, and feels plenty secure. He also features a Christmas tree printing on the light up chest panel. Of interesting minor note is the addition of ‘Not For Children’ printed on the leg and back.
Just like all the other Neko releases, Santabot splits apart at the waist to reveal a 2GB flash drive. Not sure what I am going to store on this one yet… One cool thing to note is that when you plug Santabot in, the flash drive is called Elfbot-01, and features a special Christmas surprise on the drive!
Santabot plays well with other pocket-sized toys.
Robot USB drives are a true sign of dork-dedication. Never leave home without at least one!
You can pick up your Santabot from Think Geek now! The regular price is $29.99, but as of this review, they are marked down to $19.99 for the holidays. If you need a new flash drive, or an excuse to bring a toy to work, or forgot to buy your nerdy friend something, these guys are perfect.
