This interesting toy was releasee in 1985 as part of the Helmet Robo Series. there were four releases in the line, each with the same basic design, but with the branding of a different Japanese Baseball Team. Each is named GoGoKid!
– Yomiuri Giants
– Hanshin Tigers
– Hiroshima Toyo Carp
– Seibu Lions
We are looking at the Yomiuri Giants version.
The box is awesome with cool illustrations and instructions on back.
Inside the toy rests in a styro tray. No instructions, stickers, or catalog is included.
Wow, what a funky toy. He looks like a Japanese MODOK. In robot mode he stands about 4 inches tall.
He is dressed like a baseball robot, with the proper pants and hat. I love the 80s Bandai chrome arms. Each arm rotates at the shoulder and elbow, with the panels moving out to the side a little.
Transforming him into vehicle mode is fun and simple. Lift the chest compartment and fold in the legs. Fold down the front wheel bar. Fold the helmet back over the body and pop out the pilot section from the top.
Here you have a super cool hot rod baseball cap vehicle. It has a pull back motor action that zips across the floor on the rubber tires.
