One of my favorite characters to come out of Rick and Morty is Snowball. He goes from being family pet, to coming close to taking over the world. And what really tickles my fancy is the exoskeleton. There have been a couple of previous toys of this, and they all look a bit different. This one's the largest, and yes, of course, it's a Pop.
As a rule, I don't like Pop's. I hate how they have taken up so much real estate in my comic stores, or at my conventions. But people love them. Their low price combined with pretty much every character ever means everyone's collection has at least a few Pops in them. I also really don't like the glossy-eyed style of the faces, but in some characters it isn't an issue, and I think Snowball already looks pretty much like a Pop, so it's not an issue here.
This is one of the larger sized pops, and the box is a bit bigger than normal. Snowball is big, coming in at 6" tall.
Snowball is superbly done. While the core figure is vinyl, the outer suit is hard ABS plastic. It's made out of many separate molded pieces and has sharp lines.
The visor and blue light on top are clear plastic.
The tubes on the top are hard plastic - not flexible.
Nothing moves, it is a Pop after all.
There are some minor seam lines, but they are not an issue on a toy of this price.
Overall I am impressed with the size and quality of this item. For the amount of these that Funko produces, they keep their quality control tight. I feel that the people who display these in their boxes are missing out.
Get yours at Fun.com, and when it arrives, take it out of the box!
