Maleficient Dragon

Disney statues are not something I would usually go in for, but I do love a cool dragon, and this is a VERY cool Dragon. What we are looking at here is the villian from Disney's classic Sleeping Beauty, Maleficient, but in her dragon form. It's such a wonderfully dark design from an early period in Disney's animation history.

The statue is part of Enesco's Disney Showcase Collection line which features high-quality resin statues, and was originally released in 2019 for the 60th anniversary of Sleeping Beauty.

The statue comes in at about 12" long and 9" high. It's got a nice heft to it.

The statue depicts Maleficent in her dragon form, ready to attack with a claw out, mystical fire shooting from her mouth. It's wonderfully aggressive. The fire is made out of translucent material.

The paint detail is quite good, with each scale having a layer of detail. 

The wings on the back and head are also translucent, with a delicate paint fade applied. One of the wings has a splotchy paint application on the inside, but it's hardly noticable, and par for the course for this kind of collectible.

Not a lot else to say about this, it's just really gorgeous and well done.
