DC Injustice 2 is the super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us that allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. Sounds good right? Well, after digging in to some of the designs let me tell you, DC has hit the mark on both Batman and Superman.

HIYA toys out of Shanghai have put out a couple of cool little 1/18 “Exquisite Mini” figures to accompany the game, and they pack a pretty good punch for their size.

My first impression of Injustice 2 Batman is that he looks mean. Mean is good when it comes to Batman figures! The packaging itself is quite impressive for a figure of this size, as most of the comparable DC Multiverse and Marvel Legends at this size are sold on cards (YUCK). With as many accessories that are included with Injustice 2 Batman, a box is almost a must to make sure you don’t accidentally loose or misplace any of the many pieces.

Speaking of pieces, Bats comes loaded with 2 sets of interchangeable hands, 3 batarangs, 1 bat-grapple gun and a cool stand.

Measuring in at an impressive 4.5 inches tall, a 1/4 inch taller than the average Mattel DC Multiverse Batman figure in this size, the Injustice 2 Batman really is as advertised, a “1/18 super articulation action figure with 21 POA and feels just like a scaled down 1/12 figure which is cool, allowing for a multitude of poses and possibilities for either display or photos.

The paint apps and wear are really well done. The shoulders, chest and thighs have this really great worn look to him that makes the figure just feel a little more quality than most. The cloth cape adds to this as well as the batarang accessories which fit like a glove in one of the supplied additional hands. Unfortunately I could not get the bat-grapple gun to stay put in any of the supplied hands.

Another really important thing to me is the face on figures, and I’m nothing but pleased with this one. The eyes are perfect! As I mentioned before, these Injustice 2 designs lend very well to a figure. The sculpt overall is really great for being so small.

Overall this 1/18 figure is really well done and a win from both a production and presentation standpoint. Aside from not being able to utilize the bat-grapple accessory, I found very little if nothing I didn’t like about this figure. As I mentioned, it reminds me of the quality of a 1/12 Multiverse/Legends offering but at a more compact size. The future of the 1/18? Perhaps.

Incidentally, the provided bases include 2 attachments so that you can connect your two figures. I imagine HIYA intends to bring us Aquaman, Robin and maybe Dr Fate? Dr Fate please HIYA!? 😉
