Spy x Family S.H.Figuarts Anya Forger

Review by ryolung
The figure comes with a total of four different facial expressions. Each expression can faithfully recreate a scene from the anime. All of the faces are painted very well with no noticeable sloppiness. The additional set of hands that are included work well to allow different action poses for Anya. But do heed this warning. As the hands are, in general, small, they can be easily misplaced so it will be best to leave them in the packaging if not in use.
The articulation is surprisingly good considering the size of the figure. The shoulder is a ball joint that has good range of motion, allowing to move the arms up, down and out. The elbow is single jointed which acts nicely as if it was double jointed. The knee is double jointed and the feet are on a ball joint and has a hinge. The hip/torso area however is a single piece and has no articulation.
Two areas that I can criticize here. The arms fall out of the shoulder quite easily. My feeling is that the ball joint is so small that it does not hold well when you move the arms up, causing the arms to separate from the shoulder. Secondly, this figure cannot stand on its own. Without stand, I'm have an extremely difficult time to balance the figure out so that it can stand, much like the box art. But since the figure is quite top heavy, this task is nigh impossible to achieve.
Ultimately, this is a must have for the anime series. However, the figure is not without it's flaws. Make sure to grab a stand for it!
