The Alien ReAction figures from Super7 and Funko are a fantastic idea that hits every nostalgic note right on the money.

These figures are based off of unproduced prototypes from 1979. They would have been made by Kenner and would have had the same feel as the same figures of the time. Super7 unearthed the prototypes and brought them back to life in 2013 as "ReAction" figures. These figures are meant to replicate the look and feel of the toys as if they were originally released back in the day, right down to the packaging. Originally the brainchild of Super7, these have been picked up by Funko which allows for a wider distribution and lower price point. The collaboration with Funko also allows for the line to expand into other licensed properties.

The Alien needs no introduction. This Xenomorph, originally designed by H.R. Giger has become an iconic character in its own right. This particular alien is the result of the baby that bursts out of Dallas’s chest early in the movie. It is the most “pure” vision of the Alien as designed by Giger.

The figure stands a bit taller than the other figures with 6 points of articulation (head, shoulders, legs and tail). It’s molded in a dark gunmetal grey that captures the color of the Alien perfectly.

The frosted grey dome on the Alien’s head is removable. With the dome off, you can slide the lever forward to extend the inner mouth

The head also has glow-in-the-dark paint applications on either side, but the glow isn’t very strong.

This toy has a fantastic vintage feel and the ReAction captures the late 70s aesthetic perfectly.
