My Favorite Sushi
Review by siningy
For part seven of Sushi-go-round, go here.
The eighth and final installment of Petit Sushi-go-round is “My favorite Sushi” (Shime wa itsumo dai kobutsu). The direct translation for this set is a lot more confusing than the previous ones, and comes out to something like “my favorite sushi deadline is always the favorite” which makes no sense.
The cutouts this time are two screen inserts, a tent advertisement and the receipt.
The Shoga-ire is a container with pickled ginger with the lid, ginger, and tongs being separate pieces.
The soy sauce (shoyu) has a really nice translucent quality to it and looks pretty realistic.
I think this is supposed to be Red Snapper (Tai) though it might just be some generic whitefish.
Two pieces delicious of fatty Salmon (Toro Samon) are also included.
Sushi-go-round is another great Re-ment Petit Sample series with tons of great little pieces. While some of it may be limiting in use due to the nature of the series, it has tons of useful little accessories and foods you can use in dioramas. I really love these sets and I’m pretty invested in the line now. Look at this backlog I have…
