Robot Damashii GAT-01 Strike Dagger

Review by VZMK2
The GAT-01 Strike Dagger was the mass production mobile suit based on the Strike Gundam. It is from the 2002 anime Gundam SEED.
Standing at five inches tall, this Robot Damashii is able to use the Aile Strike pack that comes with the Strike Gundam (I don’t have that one). The colors scheme is great, with the gray, blue, and red all complementing each other.
Articuliculation is excellent in some places but lacking in others. The shoulders are able to bend forward and the wrists are able to bend to a high degree angle. There is an ab crunch in the torso but not by much. The waist barely turns. Leg articulation is also excellent. Hips have full range of motion, along with the knees. The feet, however, are kind of a disappointment. They can move side to make a good stance but the toes barely move so it seems kinda pointless for that to be there.
The real issue I have with this toy is the back skirt armor. It just pops of way too easily. I’m not sure if it’s just my copy or a widespread problem. I tend to hold it from there anyway to keep it on during play.
Accessories are as basic as they come for a Robot Damashii. Just three pairs of hands, beam rifle, beam saber, shield and stand attachment.
Sometimes simplicity works the best. It's able to easily grab on to it's beam saber holder, that's to the plug that can swivel forward.
For a bonus, here's the Strike Dagger posed with the MSIA Dagger L from 2005 (a decent little figure at that time). Notice how the shield is same size on that figure.
Overall, while a good entry in the Robot Damashii line that has some fantastic points, it not without a few glaring faults.
