Blades the Copter-Bot

Blades the Copter-Bot is part of Hasbro's kid-friendly Transformers line called Rescue Bots. These rugged toys are designed to have simple transformations with friendly, kid safe designs.

Blades stands 6.5 inches tall, and features a bright color scheme, with almost no articulation. Any movement in the figure is attributed to the one-step transformation.

Transformation into helicopter mode can be initiated in one of two ways. First, you could turn the knob on the top of the propeller. Or, you could gently swing the arms in. Either way moves the arms, legs and head shield all in tandem. It's a simple transformation that even kids can understand.

In copter mode, the blades have an 8" wingspan and they spin freely. The first release of Blades had solid colored panels, but a later release had a slightly different color scheme and translucent blue panels.
