Vegetius

Review by JoshB
"Vegetius is being most beast-like creature of Big Battel. No man and no monster can control the giant bird-turtle when lunchtime is near."
Vegetius is the second release from Kaiju Big Battel and Marmit. Designed by Kaiju creator Rand Borden, Vegetius was sculpted and produced in Japan by Marmit.
Standing at 12" tall, Vegetius is an odd looking thing. Its design is reminiscent of the result of an unholy union between Gamera and a Parrot. At first I didn't dig the design too much, but the guy's pointy head and stubby arms have grown on me.
How can you not love this face?
Vegetius is made out of soft vinyl and features 5 points of articulation. He's made in limited quantities, so if you want one, head over to the Kaiju Mall and grab one today.

5 comments postedI'm glad someone got around to reviewing the "normal" colorway...though I figured it'd be Nekrodave. This colorway is actually pretty impressive in person. I mean, the pics look good--it just looks better in hand. I love what Marmit did with the paint. They really took a sculpt that would've made most kaiju collectors scoff and then turned it around with the creative paint apps.
I think the same is true of the glow version. Damn good toy. Totally fun!

Yeah, sorry, I guess I just didn't think to review this one. Probably because you already did the glowie. Wait, did this retail for $55 or $65? I thought Sanjeev said it was $55. I need to keep accurate count of how much money I'm not gonna pay Sanjeev for grabbing this for me at SDCC! lol

I'm certain Kaiju was charging $55 at Comic-con. Clearly, that was some sort of deal. The glowie was $65 at Comic-Con, though. The retail on the regular (non-glowie) appears to be $65 on their website. You got a deal, Dave!

That was freakin' awesome!
Totally wack music, but cute video! I especially loved the classic Cylon centurion-looking bad guy!
Man, all I know is that I'd kill for a Call-Me-Kevin vinyl...
