Minmei: Do You Remember Love?

Review by Showapop
If you are a Macross fan, Cm's Corporation's Macross Collection Minmei Super Series is a nice little collection of six classic Minmei figures you might want to pick up for the collection. What is so great about this set of figures is the creative poses and vignettes CM choose to recreate for this series. The figure sculpting and box art is outstanding and the figures themselves are a reasonable size considering they are gashapon.
This figured pictured here is from Macross: Do You Remember Love? (1984) and represents Minmei during the final act of the film during the "Quivering Heart" scenes of the film. The figure comes apart and a plastic stand is included to recreate Minmei floating in space ready to receive the lyrics to the song "Do You Remember Love?"
Just be careful not to lose her beret as it just sits on the head and does not snap in place, and if you are not careful you can easily lose it like I have a few times. A little white glue should do the trick and not ruin the plastic.
Some of these figures are now quite expensive in the collector market, especially the chase figure, but if you look carefully many sellers still have these in stock as I found this one for $5.00 from a dealer at Frank & Sons. A must pick up for the casual and serious Macross collector!

And why is Mylene Jenius [who was born 20 years later in "Macross 7"] on the box cover, when she isn't going to have a figure produced in this line? Just because she's a female vocalist?

Eva,
I only write for Collection DX. Cheers!
You have a good question there concerning Mylene Jenius and I found it just as odd as well, your guess is as good as mine.

That's a pretty nice little figure, especially for a gashopon, the likeness is surprisingly good. While I love Macross I've never been a huge Minmei fan but I think I might just have to pick me up ones of these sometime. Luckily I live practically next door to Frank & Son's and I've been meaning to go there since I've moved to the neighborhood and found out about it.
RB,
I quite impressed with this series of figures and I like how they are a larger size and don't get lost on the shelf with other items. The only thing I hate about this series is the blind packaging, I hate getting doubles and triples of figures and at $5 a box that can add up real quick.
You'll love Frank & Sons there is nothing like it in LA, it will blow you away with the sheer number of dealers under one roof. Sure Pony Toy doesn't exists anymore but Frank & Sons isn't a bad replacement!

Naww Lynn looks so cute like this...
I'm literally one of the only people who likes her, huh? Yeah, her Robotech incarnation sucked but at least the DYRL version was nice ^.^
mrtrainfreak12, I liked her too. Yea, I liked her DYRL self more than Robotech, though.....since she had some big time issues going for her. And I love the outfit here, very cute. ^_^
