Super Dun Robo

Review by JoshB
Super Dun Robo is another random off-brand toy by the Maruka company, the company who ends every to with the word "Robo" at the end. Super Dun Robo, I believe, is a mistranslation of Super Gun Robo, but it's on the package so we'll go with it.
The toy comes in a nice box, with the toy inside in a styrofoam tray.
The art on the box is quaint, and has an almost sketchy feel to it. The robot on the box is colored in a Gundam theme, despite the toy having an entirely different color scheme.
The toy is a nice mix of metal and plastic, with the entire body being hollow diecast. The paint is great, there are nice stickers, and it's quite colorful.
I feel like i know this chest design from somewhere else. Any ideas?
There's movement at the shoulders, but that's not what this toy is about. Super Dun Robo has a few cool tricks up it's sleeve.
The back is hollow to fit a small ball launcher, similar to a BB gun.
The launcher is spring loaded, and can be held in the hand, or inserted into the back. Just pull the lever down to cock it, and then push the button to shot the balls that are loaded in the top. There are two sprues with 15 BB's included.
But wait, there's more! The panels on the legs open up to store two small vehicles.
It's got a very late-80s Super Sentai vibe. Just another clue in the mystery of Maruka.
