(Cypress, CA – March 2, 2007) – Bandai Collectible Games, a division of toymaker Bandai America Incorporated, today announced that it has secured the collectible card game license for Cartoon Network’s hit series, Ben 10. As a leader in transforming popular kids’ television shows into top-selling product lines, Bandai America currently serves as the brand’s master toy licensee and offers action figure play unlike anything in the boys’ category today with its figures, vehicles, playset and role-play products.

“Bandai America is very excited to be introducing a collectible card game that gives kids another way to get into all the alien transformation action, adventure and humor that’s integral to the Ben 10 series. With the TV show already a huge success on Cartoon Network and our toy sales growing at a fantastic rate, we know that there’s going to be much anticipation for this game,” said Danny Satyapan, sales & marketing manager for the collectible games division, which was formed in 2003. The division currently distributes collectible card games for some of the hottest anime properties from Japan, including the category’s latest breakout hit Naruto.

The Ben 10 Collectible Card Game fuses the action of the TV series by allowing players to transform into their favorite aliens and defeat the forces of evil. Debuting in March, the product launch will consist of Starter Decks ($9.99 SRP) and Booster Packs ($3.49 SRP). Starter Decks have everything needed for players to begin play, while Boosters offer players the opportunity to collect a wider variety of powerful and rare chase cards.
