Kotobukiya Frame Arms Type 38 Model 1 Remodeling Ryurai Multi Assemble Mechanical Unit Kit

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Next up in Frame Arms, the hit line of original robot model kits based on a core “Frame” skeleton with universal 3mm attachment points is an upgraded version of the Zennrai, the TYPE 38 MODEL 1 REMODELING RYURAI! All of the Frame Arms robots share interchangeable parts with each other and the Border Break line of robots, and can also connect to and use the M.S.G. (Modeling Support Goods) series of support units for unparalleled customization.

While the Zennrai featured a booster pack and heavy armor, the Ryurai goes even further with massive weaponry and advanced systems. It also continues the “main battle tank” motif with tank treads and alternate heavily armored legs. The Ryurai features all-new components like the S5 Optical Visor, Long Range Plasma Solid Cannon, and Type 65 Shield in addition to its standard complement of weapons. Standing almost 6 1/2 inches tall, the robot is comprised of approximately 300 parts providing nearly 30 points of articulation.

The heavy armor version

The heavy armor version looks like a beast. I've eyed these up a couple times, but there's only so many generic robots I can collect and build, and I'm nowhere near creative enough to use the frames for anything.

Sweet Mech, Weird Feet

I think this is totally slick, except for the feet. Looks like it's standing on tippy-toes.

Really? I kinda like my robots in heels; it's very... provocative. The armored mode looks like something I'd be worried about running out of ammo before killing in Armored Core. Interesting omission not adding armor to the chest... The treads are kind of lame and non-functioning. Your robot can have legs or tank treads. Legs OR tank treads.
