I've seen Revoltech EVAs up-close, even had a chance to pose one (namely, my namesake), and even though they have outstanding poseability, they just strike me as too fragile and small to get more than one... because I own only one MP EVA, and that's all I'll ever get.
3" is just too action figure-like for my tastes, and crosses that line I tend not to cross. SOCs of the Rebuild EVAS would suit me just fine, but not these.
...This is why, even though I'm an EVA fan, I only have seven displayable items from the franchise (not including three mooks, three CDs, and a wall-hanging).
God, I love the Rebuild color schemes-!

It's something more like a "posing figure", where the whole point is "look at this awesome pose I made it do". You wouldn't fly a Revoltech around the room and strafe something.
As for the set: I wish that they'd done more stuff like this for Revoltech. Why not do a Valkyrie Team Vermillion? Or the Getter Team? That would be pretty sweet.

I know that they're not "action figures" per se. The problem I have with them is they're scaled down to typical toy 3" action figure size, and yet are more fragile than a toy action figure. It's the at-scale frailty of them I really don't like.
And I also know Revoltechs are more about the poseability than anything else. (I wouldn't have four Revoltechs if it weren't for that!)
Howsabout a Patlabor team?

as a newbie on eva's, these babies is just what i was looking for...its probably my only chance to own EVA03 revoltech...Great stuff! Go Revoltech! Go Kaiyodo!
Pretty impressive set. I like my toys to be made out of ABS, though. Rubber doesn't do it for me. I don't see why you'd like a Patlabor team any better, they're made out of the same engineering. Now that all my micromen are sagging and have super loose ball joints, I'm starting to appreciate revoltech a little more, though. If only I could have both...
Yeah, I was hoping assemble borg could fill the microman gap, but it seems the line pretty much died out just when I started liking the art direction (Phantasy Star Online). Oh well, they were bigger than GI Joe scale anyway. Maybe microman can come back with sockets lined with rubber. Maybe I can do that myself...

This isn't a limited item, right? I think I might have to get this.

That actually may be true- Rebuild EVA-03 hasn't been sold generally, only as a limited-issue offer to a magazine.

I like how the set includes the Dimension Pliers from Gao Gai Gar ;)
(yes, I know, but that's what they look like!)

Nice set but I won't buy it. I don't like the ball joints on Revoltechs. They simply put me off. That's why I have only six Revoltechs.

Unfortunately Assemble Borg doesn't really seem to show up much on HLJ or whatever.

hey EVA_unit_4A why not buy revoltech enki he sorta looks like an angel if you ignore the giant face chest XD
Way to make my magazine exclusive Unit-03, and 7-11 Net exclusive Unit-00 not quite so exclusive Kaiyodo...
The only way I'd be more upset is if this set came with extra parts...
Assemble Borg is going strong! Check out the latest releases. Totally brings back memories of my Micronauts days...
