RIOBOT Mobile Infantry (Starship Troopers Powered Suit)

We now have the final release details for Sentinel Co.'s RIOBOT Mobile Infantry which many may recognize as the Powered Suit from Starship Troopers. This 1/16th scale figure will stand roughly 5 inches tall and is made with ABS plastic, PVC, and diecast metal. It is features full articulation to allow the user to pick up an egg, an opening visor that reveals its pilot's head, a moving shoulder cannon, and its signature handheld flamethrower. The flamethrower can be stored on an articulated mount on the backpack. Due in November 2013 for 13,800 yen.

You can preorder the Powered Suit at Big Bad Toy Store.

I wouldn't mind this being,

I wouldn't mind this being, say, an inch or so taller, but this still looks really amazing and I can't wait. I love that the egg has become standard equipment.

I wonder if anyone's ever gonna do an OVA version of the suit.

Edit: Also, not sure if this is worth noting or not, but this isn't a RIOBOT release. The S.A.F.S's weren't either, making me wonder what exactly the distinction is.

Cool.....

...funny that Jmann I think did a model kit review of this not too long ago....and now this comes out, at least we don't need those mad paint skills to make it look awesome. Sinces its pvc and diecast I assume its not a model kit right?

That was me

That was me ;)

I'm stoked for this new figure. I've also got the old Bandai soft vinyl kit of the OVA design here to do a followup review to the Gainax kit.
