Toynami 30th Anniversary Voltron SDCC 2013
Your chance to pick this up if you missed out. This version has light up eyes and a lion key. Notice the base that was announced years ago. Will it finally see the light of day?

6 comments postedShoulder and hip joints look frail for a 12" combiner, the wings are kinda small too, and the arms don't have much bulk to them which makes them look tiny compared to the other Lions.
Nice display stand and Key, though.
Meh- I would still rather find the original toy from the 80s (or its 00s reissue).
This version diecast or plastic?

I have to get this.... The eyes look so pretty....
But it looks the same as the older one. So is it really worth getting if I have that one? Can I justify getting this just because it has a light up feature. But if it comes with the base then that would be easier to accept. Is there any word of a price.
I guess all the hints we got of Bandai getting the Golion/Voltron license is pretty much not true unless this is one last hurrah from Toynami before another company takes over.
I hope so. I like my Masterpeice Voltron, but if they can make an SRC of him as solid as the recent releases in that line? Sign me the hell up. He can get into a sword fight with my SRC sentai mecha!
Talk about stretching a mold.
