Never been into Ultraman..

...but after seeing this the first thing I can think is "WHY NOT?!".

Totally digging this figure and the design of it. What series is it from?

Gridman

This is Gridman, from Denkou Choujin Gridman, the show that was adapted into Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad in the US.

Thanks for the info

Thanks for posting this info. I did not know anything about this guy. I assumed it was Ultraman by the looks of him. I guess I will have to try and find the DVD or if it is online anywhere.

Streaming

The Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad version is streaming for free on Jaroo.com. It's a legitimate site with advertising and all that.

Nice.I have little-or-no

Nice.

I have little-or-no interest in the Ultra Series (yes yes yes, "Gridman" is not Ultra, I know), mostly because I've never sat down and actually watched one of them. That being said, some of those transformation devices they have are pretty spectacular and wonderfully intricate toys!

In 1995, Super Human Samurai

In 1995, Super Human Samurai was THE show for me. Granted it's cool to see this, but I think the interchangeable armor was the aspect of the character I was more into.
