Man, this thing isn't even out yet, and I can see this is starting to add up. With the standard figure, plus the goldion hammer set, and with these exclusives... welp :(

GaoGaiGar isn't even a Bandai property... I wonder why they're makeing such a huge deal out of his release compared to the others so far? I didn't hear about the Mazingers comeing with giant display parts like that green tornado...

Sunrise developed the television series. Bandai owns Sunrise. It's not all that difficult to imagine that they'd do GGG eventually. From what I understand, the series is still popular, but not to the point where the popularity can sustain a new animated project.

same reason why gaogaigar and even zoids genesis appearing in...

super robot wars. banpresto, the maker of the games, is owned by bandai and yet those two who are owned by their rivals. it's just like that man not surprised since they appeared in a prior bandai product.

It's certainly an oddity, but one that I'm happy about all things considered. I'm guessing it can't be too different from when Max Factory or CM Corp did their GaoGaiGar figures, is it?

Suupah Effect Campaign

This is actually a promotion for the upcoming 1 year anniversary of the Super Robot Chogokin line, it's not exclusively about the triple G. I'm guessing that each month will correspond to a SRC release and that the part of the month will be related to said release. Customers buying the release in store will receive the extra effect part (it says this). No word on whether that includes the tamashii web shop.

Edit: Amiami's GaoGaiGar listing include the Overload parts. So I'm guessing it's a first edition sort of thing, and won't be too difficult to find.

Double Edit: The descriptors for each part are also kind of generic, and don't seem to give away any hints to upcoming releases. If anyone's interested, it's something like:

Swelling Power! Overload Effect
Flash of Lightning! Impact Effect
Slashing Gleam! Slash Effect
Dash! Gale! Boost Effect
