Is thing supposed to be a mech or a powered armor? Either way it's pretty cool looking.

Naw- powered armor doesn't

Naw- powered armor doesn't cross my mind when I see this; the proportions are off even for an anime character with a thin build. Same with how it's joined and shaped.

Yeah seeing that photo got me really interested. Just a cool looking mecha. I found this http://en.item.rakuten.com/igaya-web/10021929/ which says its a pre-painted plastic kit. It looks to be a variation on the one above obviously red. Either way pretty awesome figure.
