This is the Sci-Fi line, the regular revoltech line still focuses on robots.
Kinda cool! When is the last time you've seen a new quality pirate action figure.
With all due respect, boss, PotC is NOT sci-fi. I like having a SFX line, but Jack Sparrow- sorry, Captain Jack Sparrow- does not belong inthat line any more than, say, Princess Leia in her slave outfit.
If you wanna make fleshy Revoltech characters that go outside robots, that's fine, but don't lop in the same line(s) as the former!
Oh, BTW, where the hell is our Revoltech SDF-1???
that this is going too far....
I believe the "SFX" in the SFX Line, refers to Special Effects not Sci-Fi as Revoltech's video game characters, Nightmare Before Christmas and Toy Story figures also fall into this line.
If the Pirate movies are anything, they are definitely special effect films. Besides who can blame Kaiyoda for wanting to make money, and Jack does sell. Big time.
Why the drama? If you don't like it, don't buy it.
I don't have an opinion one way or another as to whether or not Jack belongs in this line or not but I do feel that the likeness isn't that good. He looks a little too serious and bit on the mean side and has none of the quirky expressions that you see on Jack's face. They really should have picked a better expression to base their sculpt on, something that's a little more Jack like.
