HLJ has Gundam AGE stuff up to 80% off!

Heads up for those that are into Gundam AGE. Hobby Link Japan is having a big sale on items from that series, up to 80% off! Gunpla, Gage-ing Builder, Robot Damashii.

How are these Gage-ing Builders BTW? It's rare to see Bandai do Gundam toys these days that aren't for the collector market so it feels like a through back to the 90's.

I don't have one, but from

I don't have one, but from the reviews I've seen the Gage-ing Builders are not bad. They have a fair amount of paint apps, all of which are applied fairly cleanly. They also have a surprising amount of articulation, just about the only thing missing is double jointed elbows. Some of them seem to suffer from ankle problems, but others do not. Considering the sale prices I'd say go for it and pick one up.

a mixed bag

They're similar to the revised and newly designed 8" G-Gundam toys that were released in the USA when G-Gundam was on American TV, but with less detail and articulation. They're solid, playable, and have that neat limb-exchanging gimmick, but they're very flat and cartoony and it can be frustrating how the joint mechanisms don't match the way they're designed (especially on the Genoace, where the rotating cylinders in its abdomen and ankles don't do anything).

I have no interest whatsoever

I have no interest whatsoever in "AGE" or any Gunpla from it. None of the MS or MA are interesting (all four Gundam AGE MS are just poor imitators of past series' lead Gundams), and I hear the story was radical yet ended poorly.
