BAD Quality Limited Ed? Obviously, it's a bootleg.

Hi,

I recently came across your review via a link at another site. The thread related to the numerous bootleg figures being sold online. Sadly, all three of your figures are not lemons. All three are fake. I've seen the real version, and believe me, it's flawless and not even painted. The PVC is colored. Sadly collectors, like you, don't realize you're buying fake Japanese figures. Your description of the various flaws leave no doubt in my mind. This figure was a showcase figure. It was immaculate, and the coloring looked EXACTLy like the figure on the box (note: your figure's arms are not colored properly). All three of your Cammy are definitely fake, recasted Hong Kong bootlegs, and all three show the typical signs of a bootleg. Dead giveaway is the seams, paint, construction, availability outside of Japan, and lack of licensing sticker on the copied box. A Limited Ed. Japanese figure (mass produced or not) will not show the flaws found in your figures. This figure released at approximately $60.00 in Japan, and only 1000 were sold by preorder at WonderFest. It's highly unlikely you could even find it for less than the preorder price or at all in numbers higher than 1 at a time outside of Japan.

eBay is flooded with bootleg figures. If you want to protect yourself from buying fakes, please take time to research fake figures. I found your site and this review on this thread:

Good luck!
