NYCC2015: Bandai Gundam, and Bandai of America Power Rangers
Hey CDXers, Prometheum5 here with some coverage of my time at New York Comic Con 2015! I made my yearly trek down to the Javits Center for my nerd pilgrimage and figured I would share some photos that I took along the way. This is by no means in-depth, up to the minute coverage, but I thought it would be fun to give readers an idea of the kinds of cool stuff I saw.
First up are two booths near and dear to CDX's heart: Bandai's Gundam display and Bandai of America's Power Rangers display.
Gundam
The Bandai booth was swamped, as usual, but they reorganized the selling area significantly, which made it much easier to get around. Normally this booth is a mad house, and I'm always nervous someone is going to bump into a case and bring the whole thing down. I was able to snap some pics of the latest Gundam hotness, both with their various trading figure lines and the model kits. Scroll down for some upcoming items, including the Master Grade Gundam V2 ver.Ka and some Gundam Origin goodies.
Power Rangers
After the Bandai booth, it was off to BoA to see what's up with Power Rangers. I don't know much about the current series or toys, but I am all about the Legacy line. The new Legacy Thunder Megazord made an appearance, along with the Falconzord. The Thunder Megazord looks incredible. I can't wait to see how the Red Dragonzord inside looks, since that was always one of my favorite Zord toys. For the new lines, they had some more Megazords, lots of figures, and some kind of collectible... uh... batteries? Power Rangers is weird, man.

4 comments posted1. Am I mistaken, or does the banner say "Mojibakeru" right behind the Assault Kingdom Dom? Are they finally bringing those stateside for Diamond distribution?
2. Any sign of the Assault Kingdom Full Armor Unicorn? I keep waiting for it to show up stateside at either a comic book shop or Barnes and Noble but I can'tr emember if Diamond's listed it yet.
3. The Red Zeta Plus in picture #47--is that an HG kit or a Real Grade kit? It looks like it's next to the Real Grade Wing Zero, but there hasn't been any announcement of an RG Zeta Plus and there's an HG Zeta Plus that I've been awaiting a repaint of. (I'll get it either way; I love that design and particularly that color scheme.)
It's a High Grade, the exclusive recolor of the Zeta Plus C1.
Hey smasher,
I took a look at the raw photo of the Dom and it looks like that could be what it says. That's all the info I've got, sadly. I didn't really talk to any reps at the booth and am not super familiar with what's out vs. upcoming for the AK line. I did not see a FA Unicorn either, just the Sinanju's big ride that they debuted last year.
AK FA Unicorn's been out for a while now. B&N and western styled shops are bad places to get them, look for an anime shop. I picked up mine from a more Asian store about a month ago.
