One of the very first places I like to visit at the Comic Con is the Tamashii Nations booth. I always look forward to seeing what kind of goodies Bandai has available and what they plan on releasing. First and foremost, I am a robot fan. Aside from the ever-popular Gunpla which is as popular as ever, there was nothing in the way of new Chogokin. I was hanging around to see if I can get some insider info but to no avail. The booth was constantly busy and nearly impossible to walk through the retail section.
This year the big focus was on the S.H. MonsterArts, MonsterArts and of course anything Gundam. Lets take a look at what we saw.
Coming in 2014 is an S.H. Figuarts Batman diecast and composite resin figure. Pretty interesting stuff.
More diecast coming in the way of these Alien vs. Predator figures.
Thanks to the success of the Godzilla MonsterArts line, we are not only seeing more and more Godzilla figures, but even gigantic ones too. Somehow I left the show without buying a 1964 Godzilla...I want one sooo bad.
Loving this Javitz Center Diorama.
S.H. Figuarts were in full effect. Here's Sailor Moon.
A popular line here in the US is the S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z
S.H. Figuarts Power Rangers
S.H. Figuarts Daft Punk complete with light effects stage prop.
Feast your eyes on the only Chogokin pieces on display. Nothing new.
Gundam/Gunpla fans had their pick of tons of different Gunpla and a small assortment of other Bandai goodies. It was near impossible to walk around. The only way to get what you were looking for was to show up early in the day, especially, and I do mean especially if you wanted to grab show exclusives.
