Also is that the 18 inch Trendmasters Voltron I spot in Josh's room?
you guys have a good chemistry like mike and mike...need a catchy team name. Also, the anger atom had at the prime spoiler is the anger i have for the plot holes Josh talked about...I mean they are spend millions of dollars...can they get an 8th grade level plot-line written for a movie...finally, totally agree with Josh's problems with the Yamato in my review and is 10 inches...Yamato is like 8 plus the tip equals a weak 10 inches and the Andromeda is like 10 full inches. Thanks for clearing up the two Andrew references near the end...lol
Good work again, guys. I like the timing of it. Having one ready to watch on Saturday morning is cool. :)
Awesome show, keep them coming :D
Love hearing conversations about new toys.
You can get a good idea of the quality of the VF-25 2.0 through the VF-29 toy that just came out, since they share many parts.
Also the Reissue Devastator could also be a reaction to two third-party versions that have been announced.
The YF-29 and VF-25 do not share parts. The official ads for the Renewal Version simply state that the new VF-25 uses engineering found in the YF-29.
Awesome episode, I'm definitely digging this format. Thanks for the shout out, we're finally home and good now...and sleepless lol. Now if I could only convince my wife to let me get her an Ultraman plush
Try a Ghidorah plushie! They tend to be a bit more cuddly looking.
I'm looking forward to Devastator quite a bit. FYI, there are a few high quality add-on sets for Devastator. The manufacturer of the add-ons is Crazy Devy (despite the name they have add-ons for other combiner teams).
They have several sets, including a new Head with light up Visor, more poseable forearms, articulated hands, articulated hips and thigh section. Each upgrade is independent, and they are running about 35 bucks. The result is pretty interesting though.
I'm going to order some of the add-on parts once Devastator is released.
Great show guys, Adam does well as the straight guy keeping everything on course with a nice clear voice, while Josh is the wacky one with great insights.
I've never listened to this sites podcasts as I'm not really into it, being the tv generation and all.
Turn all you "Destroy All Podcasts" into video, you can always strip the audio for the ppl who
really need their podcasts
Suggestions: More pictures of products, where you can have them slide show like in picassa or
something while you talk in the background.
I also went to see TF 3 and thought it was utter crap, better than the awful second one - but not up to par with the first or even exceeding it. My buddy who is not a collector and only really watched the show when he was a kid, said it was stupid and they kept all the action to the end. I agreed, most of the time it was just people running around -- there was no need for John Malkovich or Ken Jeong to be in there either.
And the Decepticons had mini ships they flew over the city, dammit their transformers where are our seekers?!
"Big robots, smash go boom" LOL, FUN-NY, keep up the good work Josh!
Anyways good thing Michael Bay is done with Transformers, now he can disappear like Joel Schumacher after his Neon Batman movies. Don't get me wrong I loved Bad Boys, Con Air & Armageddon but that was roughly 15 years ago.
I think its studios strategies to nose dive a franchise we love so people will go see the movies and spend the money cause of the excitement. When the franchise nosedives, then they resurrect it again taking into account the source material more seriously.
Just like Christopher Nolan with the new Batman series, and whoever did the amazing Xmen- first class ( I look at the xmen trilogy the same way as I look at this transformer trilogy.... with disdain). I mean I'm sure now with Dark Knight, Iron Man, Xmen First Class - studio execs see that they can cater to both the fan base and the public, and rake in the dough even more.
I mean Marvel is doing great things with their characters, they see the studios sh*tting on 50 years of history, so why not make their own movies? They're story tellers, so why not. Thats when we get Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Punisher: War Zone .... didn't like Thor (everything was cool, but could've had a more 300- esque story with more viking lore).
Thats my little rant...
Question as well, I've been collecting Valkyries for a while now Takatoku, Bandai, Yamato. Tamashii is that
a sub division of Bandai or its own company?
Glad you like it! Keep watching as we have come cool stuff in store.
Tamashii is the collectors division of Bandai Japan. It's a brand under Bandai, not a separate company.
Josh
agreed on all your Bay points, pray someone with grammar school writing skill takes over the franchise...people come for the special affects but come back for plot-lines and characterization.
