Glad to see a more affordable

Glad to see a more affordable version of REX out there.

When I first found out about the figure made by 3a (cuddled by Kojima) I just conceded that it's only in my dreams to get a hands on REX.

Well, this certainly changes the game.

Priced by Affordable

The REX really is a good substitute for the ThreeA statue in my opinion. Even after reading Anavel's review, I still think this one holds a higher rating for the articulation and price tag.

Kotobukiya models are never cheap, but what you pay for is quality and quantity for the parts required to build it.

There's something to be said

There's something to be said about the earlier 3-D CGI video games. The harsh angles, edges and blocky armor of the time was all flash, but also has its advantages beyond pure visual/technical graphics design.
This mecha cries out power and strength, while at the same time seems cumbersome under its own weight and articulation. It's a tank... but it looks like it can easily trip over its own feet every time it fires that cannon.

Same Thoughts

I had this same conversation with my dad when he saw what I was getting into. On one side he thinks "This could actually be built" but when you see it standing up, you can only add "... but this is how it can fail." Like any good way to take out something, shoot for the limbs.

Good review. I'm unfamiliar

Good review. I'm unfamiliar with this game (I'm not a video game player), but this design is pretty cool. Seems a bit like somebody stuck the head of an alien (from Alien) on ED 209 (Robocop).
And I made the mistake of looking at the 3A version ... that thing is stunning.
