if I'm not mistaken

If I'm not mistaken the "hologram" figure included is a randomly packed one of 12 I think?

In any case I was very tempted to buy one of these back in 06 but the half complete armor turned me off of the idea

Veers

I agree! You hit all the points of Veers, Mod. He's great. I got the new AT AT and needed a good Veers to command. The newer Veers (aka AT AT Commander) does not measure up. So, I ponied up on eBay and paid a little extra for this out of print one. Sure, this Veers doesn't articulate like the newer one but all he needs to do is stand in the cockpit and command. And look good. Which he does. The newer Veers looks like Todd Barry. :\ NOT cool. Veers always had such an imposing look and held his own among the other, more precarious imperial officers. I need a Veers that can command and look bad ass doing it.

Veers Armor

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that Veers armor was only a chest plate and not a back plate. The original Kenner figure had a back plate but it wasn't on the original costume in the film. My DVD player is broken so I couldn't watch the film to double check. But that has always been my impression.

Glad you liked the review TB500. Besides the arm elbow rotation is a excellent figure! I will get that 2010 AT-AT later this year as well as restoring my original Kenner '80 AT-At, its going to be a great year!

Cheers

I'm

I'm pretty sure you're right there, that the armor in the movie was just a front piece.

But according to Hasbro, both the original 80's Kenner figure, as well as the new 2010 version are "At-At Commander," not General Veers, but just some generic Imperial officer.

So while this figure is clearly "General Veers," the other figures mentioned are considered generic army builders.

Cool!

Cool! Didn't realize they considered the figure a army builder. What is cool was that I was doing some research and I didn't know that in the 1980's At At Commander was released in Canada as "Veers."

Regardless I need to pick up every version!

Cheers
