Enterprise NX-01

Review by AJProDie-Cast
Released by Art Asylum on the box and through Diamond Select Toys' website comes this twelve inch long rendition of the NX-01 Enterprise.
It comes in a typical windowed grey box with ads on the back for additional toys in the series.
To assemble, you need to take out the plastic layers and attach the nacelles (they fall off too easily, BTW).
The stand has the Starfleet logo in a royal blue color scheme. It attaches to the NX-01 with an O-ring ball joint.
It should lock in and hold securely, but while good overall it easily falls out when moved to a new position.
The overall look is simple and nice. I like this rendition and the smooth lines of the NX-01.
The impulse drives, sensor array, and front nacelles look cool.
It is not as nice or refined as the other Enterprises, but that seems more appropriate. Overall I am glad I own it and like having it in my collection.
Peace and long life!
Note: see video for light up features and sounds.

But I'm glad you picked it up for your collection.

I like it but don't "love" it...better in theory than practice
That's a good way of putting, I Just like too many other Star Trek ships before this one.
Thanks again!

It's no big secret that I hate much on the Akiraprise. (Actually, there's a lot about that show I disliked. And the only season I really got into- unfortunately- was the last one, Season 4.) However, I'm not gonna hate on this replica because it's more toy than actual collector's quality replica like the other Starships Enterprise that I've reviewed for CDX.
I can see what they were trying to do with the Aztec pattern, but if they'd used a lighter shade of gray for those panels it wouldn't have looked as checkerboard.
Aside from that, this set has good detailing on it, and the stand's design is quite appropriate with the Enterprise's mission patch.
Wasn't this the first-and-official Enterprise ship toy, not done my Playmates?
Hey, Modcineaste, did you see the official major refit that they had planned for the Akiraprise, the one they couldn't complete in time for the series finale? I've got the 2011 Ships of the Line calendar, and it's in there and it looks pretty good.
