You know, when I first

You know, when I first glanced over images when this was announced I didn't realize that it had articulation. That makes it fairly interesting but I still wouldn't pay that much for it, despite how super cool it is.

Can't see who this would

Can't see who this would appeal too... especially at that price.

Thanks for doing this review

Thanks for doing this review Atom. It was really informative. I have considered picking this up but the price was pretty high. Sounds like it might have been worth it for a big Batman fan. This review makes me want it more honestly. I looked at this as possibly a holdover until Hot Toys comes out with the Arkham City figure they teased us. Now I want it in its own right

I just opened mine, and damn,

I just opened mine, and damn, you're right about that slipcase. I was just trying to tug it off by sticking my fingers under the edge of the paper and grabbing it and yanking, but it took several minutes, even once I got it about an inch off. It finally slid off easily when I got the opposite edge past the metal bat-symbol on the front of the package - it seems like they had the slipcase made without taking into account the thickness of that metal badge on the front.

I'm likewise mystified by the elbows - it seems like there should be another click worth of motion in the joint inside the forearm, since both the forearm and bicep sides of the elbow slide out a bit. That additional click would bring the elbow bend past 90 degrees, which would be a lot better. I've got half a mind to pry off the screw hole cover on one of the forearms and see if there's something else to these elbow joints that we're not understanding...
