African American A.K.A. "Naked Obama"

I had to ask myself a few times if I should do this review. Then I said, what the hell, it's a toy. So why the hesitance? Well not only is it a review of a naked African American dude, but it's an obvious sculpt of our current president Barack Obama. Sure I could have pretended I didn't notice the resemblance, but come on now. For the sake of this review, let's just pretend it's a plain 'ol African American 1/6 scale doll. Hot Toys makes no reference to anyone living so they are passing this off as a generic doll. It's you basic highly articulated 1/6 doll. It features 38 (count 'em) points of articulation! This may be the norm in Hot Toys 1/6 scale land, but a first for me until I get my new Iron Man 2! Anyways, here is the long clamshell package he comes in.

Once we pull out the figure, we are greeted with a basic doll.

Here is what he looks like from behind.

So let's get started with a basic pose, a kneeling position to show off.

Instead of taking 572 pictures of all the possible poses, here is one that is difficult for most standard figures to pull off. You are only limited by your own imagination. My imagination is obviously a very twisted one. Made possible through the inappropriate use of the included stand.

What's cool about this doll is that there are so many points of articulation. Did I mention there is 38? Just check out the shoulder.

The torso is divided into three section to allow him to hunch over or arch back.

The knees allow for a lot of movement by means of a double joint.

Ditto for the elbows.

Look at all the movement in the ankle/foot area. It has swivels, hinge pins and ball joints.

If you think the legs are too muscular, you can remove some thigh muscle. It's a soft plastic cover that slides right off. Compare the size difference between the two.

If you look closely on the back of the figure, you'll see that Hot Toy's plugged up the screw holes.

He comes with alternate hands which look like weapon holding hands made out of soft PVC. Here I've provided him with a cool weapon. Nothing screams awesome more than a naked man with a gatling gun.

Lets take a peep at his facial features. Very nice and detailed sculpt. His eyes are glossy giving him a life-like stare.

CROTCH THRUST!

The only other things this figure comes with that wasn't shown is an alternate neck style and 2 extra wrist joints. Well, that's the end of this uncomfortable review. I've never manhandled a naked man so much before this review. Now, if you weren't already aware, this doll was not meant to stay naked. It's a base doll to dress up and make it into whomever you wanna make it into- COUGHobamaCOUGH.
