Robot Spirits L-Gaim

Review by Anavel
Fans of L-Gaim will be happy to see that the Robot Spirits line has recently brought us new L-Gaim and L-Gaim MKII figures. L-Gaim is the 86th entry in the line. The box is the standard Robot Spirits type with the toy and all accessories in a single plastic tray.
The toy looks great and stands about 6 inches tall. The joints are tight and the paint and construction are very good.
A common problem with L-Gaim toys is the poseability of the elbow. This elbow bends about 90 degrees which is fine with me.
There is also a second joint in the forearm. Here you can also see that the panel in the shoulder armor collapses automatically when you raise the arm.
The knee is very detailed and features bendable wire at the rear.
The leg panels also open. There is some nice detail underneath and working pistons connected to the ankle.
There is a removable beam saber stored in each arm.
Two removable blades are included.
There is also a double beam saber handle included. The feet are very poseable and help to keep the figure stable. The figure can be posed in lots of great poses and balances well.
A cannon and shield can be mounted on either arm. A wire is also included to attach to the crotch.
Two more cannons can be mounted to the back of the shield. There are also two S-Mines and beam sabers which are difficult to see in the picture.
There is a backpack also included. It easily pegs into the back of the figure.
The two thrusters can be raised up, and the center section extends upwards.
The final accessory is an alternative set of chest pieces. The figure comes standard with ones that can be opened.
If you are familiar with L-Gaim there is one thing you might notice missing, the buster launcher. Bandai showed it in some promotional images, in the instructions it is also shown, but stated that it is included with L-Gaim MkII only. At 4,725 yen the figure is a bit pricey and I expected it to include the launcher. Despite this L-Gaim is still an amazing figure. I highly recommend it and you can get one for yourself at Angolz
